I have to start by saying the Habs suck. They suck as a team on paper, they suck as a team with no energy or inspiration and they suck with respect to management. The team is worse on paper than last year and they have no hope of even making the playoffs. The captain Max Pacioretty seems like a nice guy but his leadership and motivational skills are weak. And the genius management team headed by Marc Bergevin decided to let Andre Markov go after 17 years of dedicated service. No class. Period. My son and I are boycotting the Habs by not watching or going to any games and that will save us a lot of money given the overpriced Bell Centre offerings.
I love this quote – simple and true. Enough said.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela 18 July 1918 – 5 December 2013) was a South African anti apartheid revolutionary politician and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country’s first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. His government focused on dismantling the legacy of apartheid by tackling institutionalised racism and fostering racial reconciliation.
I love this quote because of its absolute truth. When I see someone on the street corner asking for money, I don’t judge. You have no idea what that are going through. Conversely someone who lives in a million dollar house and drives a Ferrari may be experiencing difficult times with respect to a relationship, health or anything else . Be kind. Always.
I remember after suffering my first depression about 20 years ago my psychologist asked me ” So what helped you to get better?” I mentioned my family, my friends, the medication, the cognitive therapy and she said ” you forgot one thing – you ”
