Saturday Morning Ramblings

If you actually think hard enough, you probably have a handful of true friends that you can rely on in any situation. And if you have a handful, you are very lucky. These are the people that you go to when you need advice and will always tell you the truth, whether or not you want to hear it. Listen to their thoughts and feelings because they have your best interests in mind.

Why wouldn’t you share your feelings and keep them pent up inside. Feelings are an integral part of living life to the fullest. They are the determining factor behind any purchase of a product or service. They are the key to success in a relationship or friendship or even with family members. Your feelings determine your life decisions and emanate from your gut, not your heart or mind.

You never kmow what life has in store for you but you have to turn the page in order to find out. Too many of us miss out on opportunities because we are afraid to turn the page. I’m afraid to fly, so the consequences are that I am missing out on seeing the world. At the end of the day, the psychological principle of pleasure and pain kicks in. The pain of flying currently outweighs the pleasure of travel. There has to be a tipping point where the pain of not seeing the world outweighs the fear of airplanes. Only time will tell.

At the end of the day, its up to you. We have all gone through tough times and wish we could go backwards in time and do things differently. I have suffered from depression and wish I could get that time back that I lost. Depression is a different story because we have less control over our feelings and emotions. But there are other situations where I would love a mulligan as they say in golf. A mulligan is a second chance to perform an action, usually after the first chance went wrong through bad luck or a blunder. Its best-known meaning is in golf, whereby a player is informally allowed to replay a stroke, even though this is against the formal rules of golf. The term has also been applied to other sports and games, and to other fields generally. The origin of the term is unclear. Just remember thst you are in control of your destiny.
