I will admit that I have always been a homebody. The idea of driving downtown to a bar or restaurant is very foreign to me. Considering the fact that I don’t drink alcohol rules out bars, and despite my love of food as witnessed by the fact that I am not skinny, I would choose an evening at home over an evening out any day of the week. Now that doesn’t mean a nice dinner or concert is out of the question but …
On the other hand a road trip is always fun. Because of my fear of flying, I have driven through at least 40 States in the USA and witnessed many spectacular sights. My favorites include
– driving through the state of Utah
– New Orleans
– the ocean in Ogunquit
– Nashville
– driving into Las Vegas and seeing it from a distance in the middle of nowhere
– Montetery on the ocean
– Santa Fe New Mexico for an hour on a train stop
– Chicago
– Washington DC and CNN
– spring training at West Palm Beach
– The Venetian in Las Vegas
– anywhere in Vermont
Life is funny. The graph above represents my life. It certainly did not go as I expected it to. But despite all the twists and turns, everything happens for a reason and I am where I’m supposed to be. And I can take comfort in that knowledge.
I definitely have made more mistakes than the average person. But as long as we learn from our mistakes, we grow. Some of my friends may say that I haven’t learnes from my mistakes, but the lessons don’t go unrecognized.
I received this wonderful note from a gentleman who bought my book and appreciated its value.
