I love this quote because it steps completely out of the box. In other words once you shift a paradigm, you see things through a different set of lenses. A paradigm shift (also radical theory change), a concept identified by the American physicist and philosopher Thomas Kuhn (1922–1996), is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of a scientific discipline. Kuhn contrasted these shifts, which characterize a scientific to the activity of normal science which he described as scientific work done within a prevailing framework (or paradigm). In this context, the word “paradigm” is used in its original Greek meaning, as “example”.
In the world of sales, asking big is the only way to go. Its called top down selling. If you start at $25,000 its easier to move down and settle at $15,000. I am not saying to drop your price without decreasing your offer. Generally if you make 3 offers at varying levels of price, consumers will pick the middle choice. The concept involves anchoring a higher price so that the secondary option looks better.
