“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
The way someone treats animals say a lot about their character. I have always loved dogs because of their absolute loyalty and always positive disposition. Cats on the other hand are far too independent although I finally met a cat that I liked who would come up to me for a back rub. Donald Trump is the first President not to have a dog. What does that say about his character? Hmm.
I posted on Facebook this week that I paid $6.85 for this natural juice from Starbucks. The response was negative however I was not trying to imply that it was problematic. What I was saying that I was impressed by a company that can push the price envelope so dramatically. Most sales people love to wheel and deal but the best way to sell a product is to establish a higher price point. Have you ever had to buy a product in a category that you are not familiar with? Notice that you will question the value of something with a low price tag.
I saw this with my very own eyes. Yes, it’s advertising on a hearse. Is it just me or does it lack dignity and class? After spending the last 25 years working with Mount Royal Commemorative Services, I was witness to an organization which displayed an impeccable approach to treating customers. As a matter of fact, the original slogan was tradition, trust and tribute. The new slogan is ” a place to remember” which is a double entendre meaning a place you won’t forget and a place to remember your loved ones.
