Does everyone have to take selfies all the time? We spend more time on selfies than we do enjoying the moment. Selfie is now accepted as a Scrabble word and is defined by Oxford Dictionary as ” A photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social media.” The quest for extreme selfies killed 259 people between 2011 and 2017, a 2018 global study has revealed. Researchers at the US National Library of Medicine recommend that ‘no selfie zones’ should be introduced at dangerous spots to reduce deaths.
Do you remember back in the day going out for a relaxing drive? Well that has changed dramatically with more and more cars on the road and of course, construction. And one of my biggest pet peeves is advertising on YouTube. Every time that you open a YouTube video, you are forced to watch an ad. And now there are ads in the middle of videos. Now I spent my life selling advertising on the radio, but the difference is that only 8% of radio listeners tune out when the commercials come on. I would pay a premium to avoid YouTube ads.
