You Can’t Always Get What You Want . . . Or Maybe You Can

Life is a series of challenges punctuated with sporadic moments of happiness. We have all confronted obstacles on our life journey, but the key is how we react to them. In the Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz says to not take anything personally. When a prospect rejects a salesperson, they are not rejecting the individual, they are rejecting what they have to offer.

The only way to solve a dilemma is to take action. Behaviour changes attitude. If you are facing a challenge in your life right now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. We can’t just wish that the problem solves itself, we must be proactive and solve it ourselves. I truly believe that every problem has a solution. Every conundrum has an answer. Every obstacle can be corrected. Life is a a series of compromises and adaptations.

Every relationship can be a success if both partners are willing to give and take. A relationship is a two way street, not a one way street. If you love someone, then you can figure out the rest. Love trumps all. And if a couple is compatible and happy, then the journey will be serendipitous. There will be bumps along the road, but you can and will emerge victorious.

This quote reflects two very important concepts. First having patience when you are down on your luck. It takes a strong individual to weather the storm. And conversely when all of our ducks are in a row, that’s when our true colors shine through. People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett ars prime examples of the rich giving 90% of their wealth to those who are underprivileged.

Final Thought. You Can Always Get What You Want. Despite the words of the Rolling Stones, if you want something badly enough, you can have it. I am not saying it’s easy but I am saying that every if you put your heart and soul into everything, you will succeed.
